I Got Married!

Posted in Announcement, Events, Family, Life with tags on September 17, 2014 by Luke Farrugia

unnamedYeah. You read that right.

I got married. Hitched. Wedded. Joined in marriage. United in wedlock. Spliced.

Whatever you want to call it…

And it was fantastic! I am very blessed to have a wife like Sarah. It has been just over nine excellent months since our wedding, and I am only just now getting back to my blog to give you all the news.

We got married back on the 8th of December 2013 amongst a group of our dearest friends and family.

Here are a couple more photos for you to enjoy…

Firstly, the Bridal party

and secondly, the family shot…

And as if that wasn’t enough good news for one post, I have one more item (no, it’s not a baby announcement) It has been a long time since there were any kind of regular posts on this blog, I am hoping to change that by returning to a more regular blogging habit.

To do that, rather than keep this old well-worn site, I have moved by blog to my own hosting and you can go and bookmark it at www.lukef.com.au.

I look forward to seeing you all over there for a mix of photography, life lessons, Bible discoveries and more!

PS: Make sure you subscribe to the new blog by using the form in the sidebar!

Merry Christmas

Posted in Events with tags , , , , , , on December 24, 2010 by Luke Farrugia

Well it is that time of year, where we take the time to celebrate the birth of our Saviour with family and friends. This year seems to have sped past without asking anyone’s permission, but it is another year closer to the Second Coming of Jesus, so that is an exciting thought, who knows how many more earthly Christmases we may see?

Well I would just like to take this opportunity to thank you… thank you for reading, for commenting, and those of you who are my real-life friends and family, thank you so much for your love, your prayers , support, each individual has made an impact on my life which I want to thank you for.

As you take stock of the year that was, and look forward to what they year ahead will hold, I encourage you to place Jesus at the center of all your plans, “He will never leave nor forsake you”

I Hope to blog more in the new year, but realistically I know that is not as likely as I wish it was.

God Bless you all.

Luke.

(note: I am omitting many things this is just a super-quick overview)

Friday Night

Well, I have just returned from Cairns AYC it was truly an inspiring and challenging experience, there is much that I would love to share with you all, but it will have to wait…

Whilst at AYC I felt that the Holy Spirit was calling me to pay more attention to developing my talents, and as I will be Continue reading

Leadership & Evangelism Workshop 1/3

Originally I signed up for the Leadership workshop, however, God wanted me to do the evangelism workshop so much, that he had the AYC organizers merge the two workshops, this means that rather than benefiting from the experience of the gifted leader Neale Schofield alone, I was also able to be blessed by the vast knowledge of the evangelist, Pr Gary Webster.

In the first session, we dealt with the nature of leadership itself.

Leadership is… Continue reading

AYC 2010 “GO” Part:8

Posted in Adventist, Events, gospel, Travel with tags , , , , , , on March 24, 2010 by Luke Farrugia

Rather than sermon notes, this post is in regard to door knocking. On the Saturday afternoon we all trod the pavement for practical evangelism. Sydney is indeed a tough place to do this, let me tell you what happened… Continue reading

Saint Patrick?

Posted in Events, Sabbath with tags , , , , , , , , , on March 18, 2010 by Luke Farrugia

I know I am a day late, but please bear with this interruption to the AYC notes, yesterday was indeed St. Patrick’s day, the celebrated patron saint of Ireland, who supposedly charmed all the snakes off the island.

It may interest you to know, he was not a Papal Romanist, Nor was he Irish, his name wasn’t even Patrick Continue reading

Matt Parra – “You do not know what you ask”

Matt delivered two messages at AYC, both of which cut me deeply, I had never heard him preach before, but I will surely be hearing him again.

The text the sermon is based on is one I have never really paid that much attention to, but just like many other places in scripture, the parts you gloss over are usually the parts that are particularly relevant and powerful.

He started by asking for a show of hands, who would like to be in glory, having the power of God in their life? Continue reading

Dwight Nelson 4 – Nantucket Humane Society

This was the last of Pastor Dwight’s messages, and he took the opportunity to first share a story with us about the Nantucket Humane Society, which was basically a community coastwatch who would watch for a sinking ship then go out to retrieve as many survivors as possible, as a matter of fact they had a motto which was “You have to go out but you don’t have to come back” quite a noble and selfless concept to say the least.

Eventually however, a professional coastwatch took over from them, the peculiar thing was Continue reading
